There are 5 beautiful newly renovated double en-suite bedrooms as well as a sleeper couch in the second lounge which then has access to the guest bathroom, with shower, so the home can actually sleep and house 10 guests comfortably.
We love our large open plan, sunny, fully equipped kitchen, ideal for extended family breakfasts at a large interaction friendly, breakfast table with built-in gas hob.
The main lounge and dining room are open plan, leading out to a sun kissed north facing, relaxing patio with built in braai etc. The swimming pool is spectacular and the main feature of the 2000sqm, level garden, ideal for kids cricket, soccer or even tapping a golf ball around.
There is DSTV in both lounges and a fireplace should the weather turn on you a bit or you just feel like it for the ambience.
There is ample parking space within the remote controlled gates to the property which is fully walled/ fenced with an electric fence as well as all the necessary security features although the area is famously safe with an excellent security company based meters down the road.
Strawberry lane is part of one of the most beautiful areas of Cape Town ie Constantia Rural, in the midst of the wine fields, while still being conveniently close to the charming Constantia village and the virgin active gym.
We step outside our gates and run/ walk / cycle in a truly spectacular environment where green belts abound and you can soak up the fresh air around you. There is also a wonderful local restaurant/ pub just 1 km from the house, easy walking for those evenings when a car seems unnecessary or undesirable.
Hout Bay with all it’s attractions and beaches is a mere 15 minutes or so away while Llandudno, camps bay and Clifton are are only an additional 10 minutes or so drive. and then there’s’ the other side , where the warm Indian Ocean makes for magnificent swimming, surfing, paddling or just toe dipping at Muizenberg, a mere 15 minutes or so away. And as for the views, restaurants, pubs and markets down that way……….. If you like dogs, butch (Laborador ), Troy and Bella (jack Russell’s) will be happy to complete your home away from home experience, but if you don’t, we will be happy to find them holiday accommodation elsewhere. We can probably also make a plan should you want to bring your own dog or two.
Our very friendly and professional domestic helper will be available to help out as I know it’s no fun to have to do all the cleaning up on holiday and annoying when you just can’t figure out how the microwave works!! Help is at hand!
